Lord Lloyd of Berwick, who has died aged 95, was a Lord of Appeal in Ordinary (Law Lord) from 1993 to 1999 and recognised as an outstanding jurist. When appointed Lord of Appeal in Ordinary in 1993, he was raised to the House of Lords with the title Baron Lloyd of Berwick, of Ludlay in the County of East Sussex.
